Explain how your post production skills have developed over time and how has this contributed to your media production outcomes.

Post production are all the stages which come after you have produced your product.

Premiere
At AS we began learning how to edit on Premiere, we first used this software when we did the dancing animals task. This task was just about us putting footage onto premiere and then editing it to ensure that there were no black spaces in between each clip. We then did a task called Juno, for this we had to copy the footage from the opening scene of the film, therefore we had to do a split screen so we had the original footage and then our footage. We learnt how to use certain effects such as the cartoon effect called scratch. We then created our own film opening called On Track, we got our footage for this and we then uploaded it onto Premiere Pro. Once we uploaded the footage, we then had to edit it to ensure that it all flowed and went together. We had learnt from our previous tasks how to do cuts and we also learnt how to add titles on- we learnt how to do this from artoftetitles.com, this website taught us how much time was needed between each title and also we found out the order that they needed to go in when coming on the screen.

At A2 we created a prelim which was 30 seconds of a music video, once we had got the footage for this we then uploaded it onto Premiere Pro, we then had to put it all together and edit. We learnt how to do a special effect which was colourisation, this allowed us to make our video as similar as we could to the original video which was our task. We then created our own music video, this



Photoshop
We also had to create a film poster to promote our film, we had to get some photos which we could use for this and then once we decided what picture we liked, we used Photoshop to do this and this allowed us to be able to brighten up our picture and make it look more professional, we also added the name of the film and the credits.

Narrative is the way in which the story is constructed and how it affects the audience. The film opening which we created at AS level was called 'On Track', it was a drama based around the story of two girls who are completely different in the sporting world training for the same competition. Genre Question

Apply the concept of genre to one of your coursework productions. Genre is the style or category of art, music or literature. Daniel Chandler is a theorist who says that 'genre is a type', he said that the genre should meet the audience expectations of the genre. In our film opening which we created at AS called 'On Track', we subverted the target audience's expectations, we did this by using two girls in the film rather than men which are mainly used in most sports films.We conformed the expectations by using the settings of the running track and the swimming pool. How Facebook changed the world

'Somebody had to show the outside world what was happening' A fruit seller committed suicide due to not being allowed to sell his produce and the pressures of life becoming too much. The day after, 100s of people gathered in the place where he died and began shouting about what they believed in as they felt the same as the fruit seller. Video footage of this protest was shown online on Facebook, it began to become a confrontation but then soon turned into a street war with the police. However, even though all of this had happened, nothing was shown on television the next day. The police wanted to arrest anyone who was filming as they didn't want any of the footage to get out. However with 2 million of the Tunisian people on Facebook, this meant that they knew they could put the footage on here.
